All Hallow’s Read (Day 12) A scary book for…

…someone who likes to be creeped out.

We’ve got two stellar suggestions for you here. Both are incredibly creepy, have some similarities, but come from completely different sides of the horror spectrum.

Giving Up The Ghost is a Paranormal Romance/Erotica novel from the mind of romance scribe Melissa Ecker. Her brand of terror is supernatural, and touches upon subjects like love, loss, and the deadly forces that can come from toying with the powers of Ouija. A phenomenal effort, Giving Up The Ghost is incredibly creepy, and more than just a little bit sexy.

Speaking of supernatural baddies, Jay Anson’s The Amityville Horror is a brutally creepy tale that purports to be the real life account of the Lutz family’s paranormal experiences in their home. Suspending disbelief, we can’t really begin to consider anything coming close to the massive creep-out factor that this book doles out.

C’mon, folks… glowing red pig eyes in the window? *shudder*

All Hallow’s Read is a book-giving tradition thought up by author Neil Gaiman. We’ll be making book suggestions all month long in case you need ideas!

Say something, dammit!
