All Hallow’s Read (Day 8) A scary book for…

…your Mother In-Law.

Okay, we had to hit this one. Everyone always asks, “What can I give (insert name here) to read?”. Well, we have a million answers for you, but this one is just so damned fun.

Meli says:

If you like your Mother In-Law, give her a copy of The Ascent by Ronald Malfi. “My MIL is a romantic and does not have the stomach for gore, so I think I would have to lend her a copy of THE ASCENT by Ronald Malfi because it’s full of suspense, has a gripping storyline, but at the heart is a tale of true love and the pain of loss.”

On the other hand…

If you don’t like your Mother In-Law, Pat says:

Give her a copy of Bloodrush by Bryan Smith. “Keep her on her toes.  She better realize that you could turn into a vampire at any minute and tear her to shreds.  Am I right?”

All Hallow’s Read is a book-giving tradition thought up by author Neil Gaiman. We’ll be making book suggestions all month long in case you need ideas!

  1. I’ve got three or four by Malfi on my Kindle, but they are further down the TBR at this point. I also have Snow in paperback sitting in a pile on my dresser, likewise for down the road.

BLOODRUSH by Bryan Smith, on the other hand, is one of the half dozen books I’ve read so far this month and, to put it bluntly, it kicked ass! THE best vampire book I’ve read since Jeff Strand’s DRACULAS collaboration.

Say something, dammit!
